About

A little bit about the experience…

Megan makes a courageous decision.

“I finally did it; I booked my first therapy session.”

Megan stared into space as she realized the gravity of what she had done, and suddenly, fear overtook her. She realized she’d just done something she’d been terrified of doing for as long as she could remember: she’d made a commitment to talk to a complete stranger in the hopes of changing how she felt and finally gaining some peace.

So many thoughts ping ponged through her mind she could hardly contain herself.

“I wonder what she’ll think of me?”

“I’m too much of a mess for anyone to help me – my problems are just too much to put on anyone.”

And then another.

The next day, after arriving at the office, Megan parked her car, shut off the engine, and just sat in the parking lot, contemplating leaving. Palms sweating, heart racing, she found herself consumed with thoughts of fear, uncertainty, and self-doubt. She thought to herself.

“Can I do this?” “Am I really ready?”

Megan took a deep breath, sipped her favorite cup of coffee, and began to relax. Her worries seemed to drift away as she acknowledged how good it could feel – finally – to release what she had been feeling for so long.

Suddenly torn between fear and hope, Megan reached for that coffee again and realized that she actually could do this – or at least try.

She knew she needed to do this.

“I’m afraid,…but…I’m ready.” Megan thought.

And then, she remembered reading the words, “Come as you are. You are enough.”

She remembered experiencing how a complete stranger made her feel validated, seen, and heard in only a few lines of text on a screen. “How much better will it be in person?” she mused, as she locked her car and took those first few steps.

Walking into the building, Megan felt her chest tightening and her palms beginning to moisten once again. But she didn’t let those things stop her. Courageously, she moved on, despite everything in her mind and body telling her otherwise. Once more deep exhalation… and in she went.

She conquered her fear.

And that victory paid off.

A welcoming smile greeted her as she entered the warm office.

A sense of calm gradually swept over Megan’s mind.

Finally, she felt at ease – she KNEW she had made the right decision. A decision that would forever change her life.

Though Megan was afraid to face her fears, she was absolutely ready to embrace hope –  and change her future.

Before Megan knew it, within a few months, she had met her goals. She did it!

She conquered her fears, quieted her doubts, and stepped onto this courageous path to finally give herself the gift of freedom that she had always dreamed of.

With the proper supports in place, Megan felt unstoppable. Megan knew in this moment that everything she had gone through was worth it, because now she had gained so much more.

She felt fearless, hopeful, confident, and, most importantly, she felt like the best version of herself.

Megan had no doubt that the moment she decided to book her first therapy appointment was the day that changed her life forever.

A little bit about me…

Hello and welcome! I’m Myeisha, and I’m glad you made it here.

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and Certified Perinatal Mental Health Specialist (PMH-C). I am a wife, and mother of two, but, most importantly, I’m human – just like you!

I, too, experience difficult times and understand how incredibly difficult – and scary – the decision to start therapy can be.

I want you to know – I’ve been there. And it truly was the best decision I could have ever made.

What I’ve found beautiful about the experience in therapy is the transformation – the chance you have to create the life you really want.

My journey wasn’t always easy, but it was worth it.

Everything I’ve experienced has led me to truly value the sacred space we create in the therapy room. It may sound cliché, but it’s truly where the magic happens!

And I’m committed to supporting you throughout your journey and to honoring your process.

A few fun facts…

I love tacos! I sometimes have taco week at home.

I laugh at myself often.

I love to travel and try new things, although I don’t get to do it as often as I would like, and especially appreciate long, scenic drives in the beauty of nature.

Some of my favorite activities involve crafting, designing spaces, and creating anything.

I love cooking with my family and trying new recipes.

My favorite places to be are the beach and home. Home is where the heart is.

I appreciate being around others, but I truly do love my solitude. It brings me peace.

The best job I’ve ever had is being a therapist. It’s transformed me in ways I could never imagined, and it can help you, too. I look forward to seeing where your transformation will take YOU!
